[150] Monday 7 June 2010 - I made a screen-saver About 4 hours worth of work, but it's a simple little thing.
Most of the code is there, to prevent the screen-saver selection screen throwing a fit upon selecting it.
Known working OS list: Windows 7 (64 bit)
As to the screen-saver itself? It's just a neat little rainbow tinting program. Unlike the "Bubbles" Screen-saver provided with Windows 7, it doesn't block out the background, which displays as a live stream.
Currently one minor bug, where it doesn't display right until you save the settings once. The only reason it does that, is I've not coded a fail-safe yet. May or may not be ever coded. I Am A: True Neutral Human Druid (3rd Level)
Ability Scores: Strength-11 Dexterity-12 Constitution-11 Intelligence-14 Wisdom-18 Charisma-12
Alignment: True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.
Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class: Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Now I have a golden statue HootHoot. Yay! [ 0 Comments :: View Comments ][147] Monday 25 January 2010 - Want a 360 theme, but not sure if it's worth a buy? Me too, until I saw www.blackbox360.com not long ago.
It's a rather incomplete site, but it provides a few. If anyone has any better sites, post in the comments.. please? [ 0 Comments :: View Comments ][146] Monday 4 January 2010 - Oct-Jan summary Well well, I'm doing an update.. and hell hasn't frozen over yet!
Since last time, I obtained an Xbox360 and a few games. Tales of Vesperia is another Tales of series game, and like Symphonia.. It's purely <3 to me. X-Blades is kinda under-rated, but after getting an achievement by holding down just B.. I understand why. Banjo-Kazooie: N&B is almost an insult to the original N64 classics. Soul Calibur IV is so-so. I find the controls feel very clunky. Left4Dead2 is rather fun. A zombie slaying game which the goal is to survive several levels and escape. Awesome!
And of course, Modern Warfare 2. I suck at shooters, but there's people who suck more than me online.. either that or are dumb enough to always fall for the oldest tricks in the book.
I've not abandoned my old Wii however, which is shown with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. It's a sequel to one of my all-time favourite games, and actually quite nice.
There's a new elemental system which replaces the old individual weaknesses and resistances. It's also rather odd that a Ghost may be water elemental rather than Dark, thus not weak to light.
Now off the gaming, the new year. Firstly, Happy new year if you're reading this.
2010 will be a fun year to see out, with a fair few changes in my life thanks to the previous year.
I'm planning on starting this year with Windows 7 some point this month, and a new TV as my current one is quite a few years old.. well, at least 10 to be exact.
Oh, and before I forget. Christmas was a blast, just don't ask me what I got.. scatterbrain here already forgot. [ 1 Comment :: View Comments ][145] Monday 5 October 2009 - Lemon and Lime flavour! I decided to update this blog once again, this time.. it's pulled up a lemon and lime flavouring.
There's new images, and a new flavour in the header bars. And redone coding, the old stuff was a total mess! In order to clean it up, I just started all over with the styling.. and images.
I'm not going to even dare twiddle with the main code core, it's messy but it works. The only way to tidy it is making a function for all the smilies.
Also, I disabled the April Fools day prank code (in which it spammed you with a random number of false internet security notices).. So unless I think of a new one, you're all safe next year.. you hope..
Now onto a general life update! Yes! An update!
I've recently brought myself three new games, and realising how boring so many games are these days. First off was Kirby: Superstar Ultra. I like Kirby, and this was good while it lasted.. which was 2 days to unlock everything! The new content over the SNES original is certainly work a look, including the new bosses in the new modes. No spoilers. ;)
Next was Sonic and the Black Knight. Sonic games started as speed, but this is even more off the track than Sonic Unleashed. High speed dashing, and fighting. They didn't mix too well, but it's worth a play at least. Part 1 took me 2 hours.. then Part 2 was snuck in AFTER the credits. I'd say this is one of those 24hrs or less speed-runnable games for sure.
Next is one of those New Play Control! titles. Mario Power Tennis. Usually, I don't like sports games too much, but this is rather amusing. Even without seeing any items yet, the game's crazy power shots add to the fun. Even if it's how silly the shots are.
I doubt I'll give up video games! I love them to pieces!
In other news, I have a strange fondness for Jelly sweets at the moment... [ 2 Comments :: View Comments ][144] Wednesday 30 September 2009 - Holy smoke, it's an update! Yeah, I know I rarely update this thing these days.
I'm taking a couple of weeks holiday from work, bonus! [ 0 Comments :: View Comments ][143] Friday 28 August 2009 - The world's gone mad. Store manager at work's gone mad. He says checking notes in the air is disgruntling to customers. What's he saying? Accept fake money?
I'm impressed he manages to keep his job. "Heart attack on legs" to the customers. I don't like him, nor do many people. [ 2 Comments :: View Comments ][142] Thursday 25 June 2009 - Erep! Older! I turned 19 so.. lol.. Feels old at first, now I feel young again.
Gift wise? a DSi and some T shirts. Now before you say the DSi is a waste.. The DSi has support for a lot more features than the DS lite and old DS. Number one is the 5-level backlight. Level 2 is the same as the lite's level 1. You can adjust this in-games with select and the volume buttons.. It's fun! [ 0 Comments :: View Comments ][141] Sunday 10 May 2009 - Pokémon Gold/Silver remakes.. Nintendo are making Pokémon Gold and Silver remakes, like they did with Red and Blue as FireRed and LeafGreen. Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Well, I know what I'm buying now.
And apparently, I somehow forgot to post this on Friday... [ 3 Comments :: View Comments ] |
